  New York fans travel well and some snow birds from the north had already found their way down to the "Sunshine State".

  That left TIAA Bank Field blanketed in blue in many sections despite the Jacksonville Jaguars being at home.

  The New York Giants as a team have, like their fans, traveled well this season, going 2-0 on the road, with a win visiting the Tennessee Titans of the AFC South and in London against the Green Bay Packers of the AFC North.

  Jackonville is 1-1 inside their house, defeating the Indianapolis Colts before losing to the Houston Texans, both in-division rivals in the AFC South.

  As the Jaguars looked to get to .500 and the Giants sought their sixth win of the season in seven games, both offenses came out hot, with the Giants scoring on the opening drive of the game, going 75 yards on nine drives, concluding with a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Daniel Jones to wide receiver Darius Slayton to give the Giants the first lead of the match-up, 7-0, at the 10:21 mark of the first quarter.

  Jacksonville answered immediately on a six-play drive that went 70 yards, with running back Travis Etienne, Jr., heading into the end zone from seven yards out.

  Jaguars' kicker Riley Patterson would make the extra point, but the Giants were called for an illegal formation and the Jaguars elected to come back on the field and try a two-point conversion, where Head Coach Doug Pederson trusted Etienne again, and it paid off, and Etienne carried the ball over the threshold for the second time on the team's first drive of the game, putting Jacksonville ahead 8-7, their first lead of the contest, with 6:58 left in the opening quarter.

  On New York's second drive, Jacksonville would recover a fumble. However, it would be negated by an offsides penalty on the Jaguars.

  The defense hung tough and would force the Giants to punt, with the Jaguars' offense capitalizing on their second drive of the game that would end at the 13:23 mark of the second quarter, when Patterson connected from 27 yards out, moving the Jaguars out to more than a field goal of separation, 11-7.

  Jacksonville's defense held Giants' running back Saquon Barkley to two yards on five carries (0.4 yards per carry) on the Giants' first three drives combined in the first half, down to the end of their third drive, at the 7:27 mark.

  But New York would come away with points on their third drive, a 33-yarder from kicker Graham Gano to make it 11-10 Jacksonville.

  Running back James Robinson would get his first carry of the contest inside five minutes before half, on the team's third drive of the half, losing two yards on a play that would send the Jaguars back even farther as a result of offensive unnecessary roughness. This would move Jacksonville back to their own 34-yard line and make it 1st-&-25.

  On 2nd-&-25, Jaguars' quarterback Trevor Lawrence would find wide receiver Christian Kirk wide open out left for a 32-yard gain. The Giants would tack on 15 yards on an unnecessary roughness penalty of their own, placing the Jaguars inside their redzone with 1st-&-10 from the Giants' 17.

  Two plays later, Etienne would accumulate 12 yards on a run to New York's five-yard line, but free safety Xavier McKinney would force Etienne would lose the ball, fumbling off his own leg while running forward. The ball would bounce forward into the end zone and strong safety Julian Love would recover the ball, erasing the entire drive by Jacksonville, marking the first of three drives in the first half where Jacksonville did not score.

  On their fourth and final drive of the half, the Giants would regain the lead, moving ahead 13-11, going 65 yards on 12 plays, concluding with Gano's second field goal of the day, also from 33 yards away, with 28 seconds remaining.

  Jacksonville led a confusing final drive of the first half, going more east to west than north to south, with one try at the end zone, a Hail Mary that went no where, leaving the Jaguars down two heading into the break, receiving the ball after half.

  With this drive ending with no points, the Jaguars scored on 50% of their first-half possessions, coming away with points on the first two drives before gaining nothing on the following two aforementioned.

  Lawrence would go 13-for-21 in the first half for 182 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions, while Jones went 15-for-22 for 168 yards, one touchdown, and no picks.

  Etienne, Jr., led all ball carriers with 43 yards, achieving this total on six carries (7.2 yards per carry) with one touchdown.

  Jones was atop all Giants with 37 rushing yards at the break, on four carries for 9.3 yards per carry, followed by Barkley with 18 yards on nine carries (two yards per carry).

  Christian Kirk led all receivers with 58 yards, coming on four catches, followed by Jaguars' tight end Evan Engram with 55 yards on three catches and Giants' rookie wideout Wan'Dale Robinson with 50 yards on six catches.

  New York cornerback Fabian Moreau had more tackles than anyone at the half, with seven, followed by cornerback Darious Williams of the Jaguars.

  Jacksonville had 14 first downs to New York's 13.

  Both teams had four first-half penalties, with the Jaguars costing themselves 30 yards and the Giants losing 35 yards.

  Jacksonville opened the second half with a massive run on the first play by Etienne, Jr., from his own 27 to New York's 24-yard line for a 49-yard gain.

  Lawrence would keep the drive alive on a quarterback keeper on 3rd-&-1 to the one-yard line and would keep it again, this time jumping up to outstretch the ball over the goal-line for the team's second touchdown of the day, giving the lead back to the Jaguars, 17-13, at the 11:45 mark.

  Jacksonville lienbacker Devin Lloyd would intercept Jones on New York's first drive of the second half but a roughing-the-passer penalty on linebacker Foyesade Oluokun would instead give New York a new set of downs and place them inside the Jacksonville redzone, on the 11.

  The Jaguars, however, would stay with the drive and the Giants would turn the ball over on 4th-&-2 when Jones' attempt to wide receiver Marcus Johnson fell incomplete with the Giants turning the ball over on downs on the Jaguars' three-yard line.

  Jacksonville would only gain seven yards, punting the ball back to the Giants from their own 10 after Lawrence overthrew wide receiver Marvin Jones, Jr.

  An official review on the Giants' second drive of the half resulted in 4th-&-4 after the officials declared an incomplete pass aftet Doug Pederson challenged the two-yard catch by tight end Tanner Hudson that would have made it 4th-&-2. 

  New York would after the catch was reversed, returning the ball to Jacksonville inside two minutes remaining in the third quarter.

  On 2nd-&-20 from his own 27-yard line, Lawrence would complete the ball to Marvin Jones, Jr., for 12 yards to bring up 3rd-&-8 to start the fourth quarter.

  Lawrence would switch fields on a pass that would bring about a first down, finding wide receiver Zay Jones for 20 yards to the Giants' 41-yard line.

  On the following third down (3rd-&-10), Lawrence found tight end Evan Engram for 11 yards and a new set of downs to the New York 30.

  Etienne, Jr., tried on 3rd-&-1 on a direct snap and got nothing.

  Lawrence followed on a keeper on 4th-&-1, not gaining the lone yard as well, turning the ball over on downs on the Giants' 20-yard line.

  Jacksonville could have gone up by seven, but electing to run it on 4th-&-1 kept the game at a four-point lead, 17-13, for the Jaguars with 11:25 to go.

  On the ensuing Giants' drive, Barkley kept the drive alive with a three-yard run on 3rd-&-2 to the Jaguars' 29.

  Cornerback Tyson Campbell would then be called for pass interference to move New York to the Jacksonville 1-yard line.

  The Jaguars would be flagged for two more penalties immediately after the pass interference, one for too many men on the field and the next for an encroachment, putting the Giants inches and inches closer to the goal-line from inside a yard.

  Jones would keep the ball for the few inches needed, taking the lead back for New York, 20-17, with 5:31 to go.

  If the Jaguars had kicked the field goal from the Giants' 20 on the previous drive, this would have been a tie game at 20, but instead, the Jaguars had to try to come from behind at home inside six minutes to go.

  Jacksonville gave the ball back on a quick three-and-out, not even taking a minute off the game clock.

  Barkley rose up in the second half, taking his 18 yards on nine carries in the first half (two yards per carry) and turning it into 110 yards on 24 carries (4.6 yards per carry), adding 92 yards in the second half.

  Inside 1:30 to play, Barkley was ruled inbounds and the clock continued to run with no timeouts left for the Jaguars.

  After further review, Barkley was ruled out-of-bounds, stopping the clock at 1:07, bringing up 4th-&-6 from the Jacksonville 16.

  Gano would connect from 34 yards out, moving New York up to a 23-17 advantage, but leaving 1:04 for the Jaguars.

  An interception thrown by Lawrence was stricken from the record when the Giants were called for illegal hands to the face, placing the Jaguars on their own 45-yard line with a new set of downs.

  On 3rd-&-15, Jacksonville tried a trick play in a confusing turn of events.

  However, on 4th-&-15, Lawrence completed over the middle to Marvin Jones, Jr., for a first down with a roughing-the-passer penalty to go with it.

  All of a sudden, the Jaguars were on the Giants' 17-yard line with a first down.

  Kirk would catch the ball for a 16-yard gain to the New York one-yard line, but was swarmed, ending the game a yard shy and six points behind.

  The Giants rise to 3-0 on the road and 6-1 overall, while the Jaguars now have a losing record at home at 1-2 and fall to 2-6 on the season.
